Parking Lot Clean Up - April
Thank you to all the "V O L U N T E E R S" for your help cleaning the parking lot at the PG Snowmobile Club. The day was... Not Cold! Not Hot! Just Perfect!
Many HANDS made the CLEAN UP easy! Team Work Makes The Dream Work!
Trail clean-up in preparation for the first IFRD - May 1
We had a great day, with 10 machines and 11 people cleaning the downfalls on the trails of Tabor Mountain, mostly off the Schlitt and Dorothy Lake Trails.
We made it to the Yamaha Cabin via the Schlitt Trail and Nicholson Pass, and returned to the parking lot via the Dorothy Lake Trail.
Still lots of snow on most of the trails! The trails are very wet, slippery and icy in some places.
Special Thank You: to Barb, Chris, Derwent and Shannon, Eric and Nycole, Jannette and Lance, Maureen, Riley, and Rodger.
International Female Ride Day - May 4
What a great day for the first-ever "IFRD 2024 - ATV/UTV Style", celebrating our Ladies in powersports!
A four-generation family attended the event, with the youngest rider 11, and her great-grandma 82, as a passenger! ❤️🙌🥰
32 Ladies had a wonderful time attending the event, listening to demos on topics related to ATVing: "Pre-Ride Inspection" and "How to Fix A Punctured Tire". It was followed by a short ride on the trails of Tabor Mountain.
We all enjoyed the little bit of snow still on the trails, the mud and water puddles! Many friendships were made!
This event was a "Success" because of our dedicated Volunteers, Attendees and our Supporters of the donated Draw Prizes!

Viper Trail Bridge Replacement - September
The PGATV Club is the recipient of $25K to replace the bridge on the Viper Trail, and for the brushing of Sandy’s Pass and Olys Trail.
The bridge will be replaced late August into September, and the trails sometime this summer!
We appreciate the funding received from the ORV Trail Fund!
An estimated cost of the replacement bridge would be around $160,000, which would have been unachievable for the club. But with substantial donations from our local businesses, and funding from ATVBC and RSTBC ORV Fund, the project was successfully completed.
The "Viper Trail" is the main route that connects Prince George to Wells for all users year-round.
* JP Asquith for time and mileage for site draws
* BC Timber Sales for a complete 30-foot bridge
* Dunkley Lumber for equipment for installation
* Rolling Mix Concrete Products for lock blocks for bridge support
* CAN Crane for transport of the girders and mods from Mackenzie to the site
* Tharrow Crane for transporting the lock blocks to the site
* Cutting Edge Consulting: Industrial Crane for their support
* RSTBC Prince George for their support
Many club volunteers invested their time, approx. 200 hrs of preparation time and 350 hrs installation time, plus over 6400 kms on the volunteers' private vehicles. The bridge site is 300 kms round trip.
Thank You to all the Volunteers for a job well done! 🙏 ♥️ Video clip of the project
The club wishes to express sincere gratitude to all the volunteers who dedicated their time, as well as their private vehicles and equipment, to support the organization and success of club trails and events. Collectively, club members contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours this year, making a vital difference to the club’s operations and offerings.
Through rain and sunshine, hard work and celebration, the Prince George ATV Club’s 2024 season stands as a testament to the power of enthusiasm, cooperation, and a shared love of adventure. With each passing year, the club continues to carve new trails—not just through the forests and hills of British Columbia, but in the hearts of its growing community.
