Youth ATV Rider Course - Sunday, May 3, 2026
Knowing all you can about your ATV and the places you can ride is the best preparation for safe and enjoyable riding!
A parent, guardian or other responsible adult should attend and observe the ATV Rider Course with youth between the ages of 8 and 15 and may take the course with their child, each riding their own ATV. Class size may be limited to 8 students per course.
We have secured a limited number of ATV loaners from local businesses for youth who desire to participate but lack their own units.

Each youth who takes the Youth ATV Rider Course will get a cool
“Certificate of Achievement” for finishing the training.
The course will include:
1. Safe riding practices
2. Learning the controls of your ATV
3. Starting and stopping
4. Braking & Turning
5. Riding over obstacles that can't be avoided
6. Riding up and down hills
7. Plenty of seat time to practice each skill
What you must provide:
· An ATV that is age-appropriate (loaners may be available)
· A properly sized safety-certified helmet
· Eye protection
· Sturdy footwear
· Long pants
· Long sleeve shirt
· Gloves
· Bring lunch, snacks, and something to drink
· Other appropriate clothing for weather conditions

The Youth Rider Course was supported by a dedicated group of volunteers: Lance and Jannette, Shannon and Derwent, Lance and Shannon, Caius, Kaitlyn, Nathan, and Nycole.
This complimentary “Youth Rider Course” was facilitated by Jeff Mohr, a CSC Instructor and Club member. The course was attended by nine youths aged 8 to 15 years old. The youths successfully learned to safely operate their quads in various scenarios and were delighted to receive their “Certificate of Achievement” upon course completion.
Another FUNtastic ‘’Youth ATV Rider Course’’ happened on Saturday, May 9!
This course was a collaboration with the “Lheidli T’enneh Band,” an indigenous group. They partnered with us to teach youth how to operate quads safely.

This complimentary “Youth Rider Course” was facilitated by Jeff Mohr, a CSC Instructor and PGATV Club member. The course was attended by six youths aged 8 to 15 years old. The youths successfully learned to safely operate their quads in various scenarios and were delighted to receive their “Certificate of Achievement” upon course completion.
